Strength & Weight Gain Programs (w/ testimonial)

My specialty is making skinny people bigger and stronger.  Fitness is not strictly about losing weight.  There are lots of folks out there who need to GAIN weight and get stronger to be healthier and more functional.

The program I use is remarkably simple but when adhered to properly works every time.  It is not uncommon to gain several pounds of bodyweight in the first week and gains of 20-40 lbs are not uncommon over the course of several months.

The program is set up to be run on a Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedule.  The fullbody is worked at each session using just a handful of basic barbell movements.  No machines, no isolation movements, no supplements.

Testimonials

Wade Fennell, 37 years old

I started at Kingwood Strength & Conditioning in March of 2009.  My goal was to gain weight and increase my strength.  I have worked out for many years on my own but never had much progress when it came to getting bigger and stronger.  When I started with Andy, I kinda expected the same results but I thought a little professional help couldn’t hurt.  Andy started me out with relatively light weights and we slowly increased the workload over time, everyday adding more and more weight to the exercises.  During the course of the following weeks I had no idea how much stronger and bigger I was getting but when we did our weigh in at the end of six weeks I had gone from 147 lbs to 162 lbs.  I had gained 15 lbs of muscle mass in 6 weeks.  Additionally, my legs gained 3 inches, 1 1/2 inches on my chest and shoulders.  I was shocked at the results in such a short period of time.  I am now stronger and in better shape than I was in high school.

 Charlie Sackett, 20 years old

Charlie was a skinny 19 year old kid that came to me wanting to gain weight.  His initial bodyweight was about 160 lbs.  At the end of our first 3 months together, Charlie was 196 lbs!!  Lots of fullbody movements like squats, standing shoulder presses, and deadlifts along with alot of food and milk can work wonders for putting on weight.  No supplements are necessary.  This is Charlie performing a perfectly executed full range of motion squat - the most vital exercise in any strength program.

Charlie recently earned 2nd place in the NASA (Natural Association of Strength Athletes) South Texas State Powerlifting Meet.   He squatted 315 lbs, bench pressed 235 lbs, and deadlifted 405 lbs.  All this with only 8 months of training under his belt!!!

Robert is 62 years old.  Here he is deadlifting 250 lbs for 5 reps:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8td_lqprMBA
